Building decarbonization brings benefits of efficiency and healthier indoor environments. Many decarbonization resources such as NYSERDA's Community Heat Pump PON have only been available to Systems Benefit Charge paying electric customers. In Westchester, affordable housing, municipal buildings, and school properties do not pay the SBC.
Three opportunities are newly available for non-SBC paying customers to help affordable housing property owners, municipal leaders, and school district representatives begin to look into their options as they plan to implement new clean energy technologies into their homes, buildings, and schools. Guidance will be provided on matters of eligibility, access to funding, and technical assistance to evaluate the feasibility of clean energy technologies and the creation of capital improvement plans. Your building(s) could receive funds to pay for up to 100% of the cost to evaluate, design, and retrofit. Attendees will access information and support for applications to NYSERDA’s Community Heat Pump PON and NYSERDA’s Clean Green Schools PON as well as Sustainable Westchester's Community Solar Partnership offering.
